In 1971, Madolyn Johnson wanted to stay home with her young daughter Cari and still contribute financially to her family. She took $1500 out of her teacher's retirement fund and her good friend and neighbor loaned her $600 that was saved in a shoebox. Madolyn held Shows in the homes of families and friends showcasing her affordable line of organizing and decorating essentials. Before long, Madolyn was doing shows all over the Chicagoland area and other women who wanted to make some extra money and work around their family's schedules joined Madolyn's team.

From those humble beginnings, Signature HomeStyles continues to expand to what it is today: a multimillion-dollar business that inspires others each and every day. The company continues to change lives as it celebrates over 45 years. As President of Signature HomeStyles, Cari (Madolyn's daughter) continues her mother's vision today. Together this mother-daughter team continues to make a difference... one home at a time, through thousands of trusted Signature HomeStyles Representatives across the US & Canada.
